Welcome to Geeks to Go! :tazz:

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Downloaders] Svvshost.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [.mscdsr] C:\WINDOWS\system\lsvchost.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [svshost32] C:\WINDOWS\System32\msgrsv32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Index Lsass] lsassed.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Index Lsass0r] windef.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [.symantec] C:\WINDOWS\system\rvchost.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [windll32] windll32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Microsoft Downloaders] Svvshost.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Windows DNS Daemon] windnsd.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Index Lsass] lsassed.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Index Lsass0r] windef.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [windll32] windll32.exe
O21 - SSODL: Web Event Logger - {79FEACFF-FFCE-815E-A900-316290B5B738} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\Omcndc32.dll (file missing)

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).

Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files/folders (if found):

C:\WINDOWS\System32\Svvshost.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system\lsvchost.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\lsassed.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\windef.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system\rvchost.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\windll32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\msgrsv32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ALCXMNTR.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\System32\windnsd.exe

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. ;)

[edit] As there has been no response from the original poster, this topic is now closed. If you have any other problems, please post a new topic.
