You have the right to do that, however many of us find it annoying. Something to think about for someone as obviously patient as yourself.I beleive I have the right to Bump this Topic before it goes into near Oblivion.
As to your problem, have you tried to re-download the installer? It sounds to me like you have a corrupt installer.

I have tried downloading many different Installers from different Sites and I tried Installing FireFox so many times without success.
However, I have discovered a new Error Message that I receive when I try installing FireFox sometimes with certain Installers. When I am done extracting the Files (With certain Installers), I receive an Error Message. You may click the below link to view a Screenshot of the Error Message.

try deleting the extrated files in the firefox folder (mozilla) and try going to the home site of mozill.com or org and dl the 1.05 version of ff from them.
i tried that and i got this error message, http://tinypic.com/kd4epl.jpg.
that would be my suggestion also, the most update is the safest with the lest glites, also are you removing the previous version of firefox before installing a new one?
No.
