I have a Toshiba Satellite A15S157.
I need to reformat it because it's not working well.
My problem is: its cd-rom doesn't work, but i have an external dvd-cd via USB.
Can I reformat my notebook from this device with the original toshiba cd?
thanks

check your bios (press del or f2 during bootup to get to the bios) for a setting called "boot to usb" or something to that effect...if you do not see a setting in bios for booting to usb devices...then you can't boot to the external drive...

does y our cdrom just not work in windows? have you tried booting to the cd?
