I recently had to reformat and reload XP. Now when my children open their User Screen they get notepad opening up with the following msg.

[.ShellClassInfo] LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

Anybody know how to get rid of this?

during your reformat, something happened to a special hidden file called desktop.ini

You need to find and delete that file....here are some instructions
