I found a camra the other night a sony one it's digital but i need software anyone know where i could find the software for a dsc-s40 cybershot

There is no software available for this camera on the Sony Website...are you sure it requires software?

You're right...Sony has no drivers available for your camera on their website...but...the manual is there, and in reading it I found that the drivers are included in XP. If you plug the camera into a usb port hoperfully your computer will recognize something happened and begin the process of finding the driver.
Once the driver is installed the camera will appear as just another hard drive in my computer on your desktop. You can copy files from it easily, as well as delete them to free up space on the camera's memory stick.
If this doesn't work and you can't find the software, you might consider getting a memory stick reader, they are fairly cheap. Just make sure you get one which is compatable with Sony memory.
