Sounds like either the hard drive has died or maybe the bios was reset or your windows was corrupted. Can you boot to a floppy or cd?

no i can't boot from the floppy and when I put the win98cd in I hear it tuning but nothing happens. My problem came when I tried to format my laptop with fdisk. After finishing with fdisk my laptop won't do anything but say missing operating system. When I push fn and f11 together I able set my bios to default, but still can't open my bios to change the boot order. now my laptop says "non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key". So I put in th win98 start up disk but nothing happens. If I put in the cd I can hear it turn but still nothing

well..the reason it's saying that it can't find an os...is because there is no os...you formatted the drive and there she went...does your laptop have a floppy drive? or do you have access to an external floppy drive? if so...use a 98 boot disk ( i assume you used one of those to get fdisk to begin with)....to boot the machine while also having the cd in the drive..

Yes i did. The only thing that works during the boot is fn and f11. That sets my bois to default. But I still can't get into my bois
