About a week ago I realize that my computer is running way slower than it used to. I have high speed cable internet and it wasn't like this two weeks ago. I tried running a virus scan and that came up clean. I did disc clean up and defrag and still slow. I even tried to restore the system to about a month ago. I am stumped on what else to do. Here's my Hijack this log. Please help me. Thanks.

what is slow--the internet, or the system in general?

Well pages that used to load quickly are now slow and sometimes when I type stuff it takes a second or two to catch up with my typing, and trust me I am no typist. Also no when I go to trun off the computer sometimes it show site that I already closed in the closing program and ask me if I want to "end now".

Looking at your log, you have a lot of stuff running that you probably aren't using. What kind of comp do you have? How much memory? You may just have a case of overloaded hardware, and by cutting back on the unneeded drains on system performance you might see an improvement.

Run the PC Pitstop Performance test, and post back with the suggestions it makes for you. We can go from there.

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 with a Pentium 4 processor. 2.8GHz, 512MB of RAM. Its only 9 months old.
