Hi folks. Just wondering that where in Windows I can find the folder to delete installed drivers for webcam. As you know when first plugged into the computer Windows XP will try to find a driver for all the webcam, but also you have the choice to install a driver for the webcam from a CD provided by the manufacturer.

I know how to uninstall the driver from manufacturer (from Add/Remove programs) but is that it? And how am I supposed to clean out the driver Windows XP installed for the webcam.

Disturbed...

A properly written add/remove script will remove the driver for old hardware, usually.

After doing this, is the device still snowing in device manager?

start > run
devmgmt.msc
<enter>

If not, the driver is probably gone...there is a possibility a little 14kb remains, but it is inert...ie just taking up space
