did you try all the options?

Manually, open a command prompt window and leave it open.
start > run
cmd
<enter>

Close all open programs.

Start> Run
TASKMGR.EXE
<enter>

Go to the Processes tab and select EXPLORER.EXE, then press the End Process button

Leave Task Manager open.

Go back to the Command Prompt window (black box) and change to the directory the file is located in (you did not specify where it was or what the name was). using the old dos change directory commands (CD)

At the command prompt type
DEL <filename>
<enter>

Go back to Task Manager, click File, New Task and enter EXPLORER.EXE to restart the GUI shell.

Close Task Manager.
