Hi,

PLEASE hang in there with me - I don't know much about the nuts and bolts of computers. After spending hours on the phone with eMachines Technical support, I finally found your website. Two days ago, my computer was running very SLOW, so I became the tech and started the clean up mode. I have Symantic Antivirus, which was not working, so I downloaded the eTrust Antivirus software and Ad-aware software - recommended by Microsoft. I ran both packages - the Ad-aware found a ton of stuff - to which I deleted. Then I ran the eTrust Antivirus and it found nothing. Then I was unable to get into my account in regular windows. Went into SAFE mode and deleted the 2 software packages I had downloaded. Then I was able to pull up and run Symantic Antivirus - it found a bunch of virus, but most were in Symantic files. Now, I am able to get in regular windows OS into my account (we have 4 accounts on my computer). However, now when I start up my computer, I get a message that states:

error locating C:program files\WildTangent\Apps\COA\cdaEngine0400.dll then it says something about insert CD with setup32.exe into drive (D)

There are about 300 files quarantined that are infected - what happens to those? Other viruses found recently are:

W32.Netsky.P@mm (which I am currently running the fix tool from Symantic and MHTLRedir.Exploit.

I know my computer has a serious virus or so it seems. I don't know what to do - PLEASE HELP!

Run hijackthis again, check the following box :

You can also check any box next to a setting with the FILE MISSING designation

HI,

I have attached hijack log here after removal of Wild Tangent and other missing files. However, when I start up my computer, I get a message that states:

Can someone please tell me what this means? I don't have any CD's here to insert into drive (D), since all software came installed on my computer when purchased.
