my mate gets the following error message when he starts up his pc.

error in c:\windows\system\msvcrt.dll

i tried putting windows me cd in and tried to reformat the hard drive but it seems to by pass it.

it loads up his background and then nothing else with this error message keep appearing.

any ideas what wrong?

where can i download a windows start up disk from?

will i need the windows 98 cd?

You can get one from HERE and YES, you will need your Win98 cd!!
