[Trigger1813]

When I try to play winks that I recieve, I get the error message that I do
not have flash player. So I downloaded it and ran it, and the only browser
it recognised was Firefox, so I installed it in that browser, then ran it
again and browsed to find the plugin folder of Internet Explorer, and
installed it in there.

When I went back to Messenger, it would not detect that I have flash player?
Although I have installed it 4 both browsers?

Any ideas what the problem is?

Did it help when you rebooted? Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling?

No av tried reinstall and shutdown for both messenger and flash player a few times makes no difference coachwife.

Even emailed microsoft but i got an automated response saying i was 2 update messenger to 6.2, although i have the v7 so they were no help.

Tried those suggestions but did not work, my error message is different to them ones.

I am sure it is something to do with flash player not recognising internet explorer when installing it, mayb something to do with firefox being default browser but even with explorer the default it was not recognised.

Is your Internet explorer up to date? You could try uninstalling firefox and then trying it with IE. May not be worth the trouble.

I use a utility sometimes when my machine needs a good cleaning -- I only use it on one computer == it's called ccleaner. 'Cleans out remnants, etc. Can find it at majorgeeks.com

Dont't think it is worth the bother, all other functions are working properly, handwriting area etc, jus the winks not playing, but a can live with it!!

the winks are not playing because whoever you are speaking to needs to have the same version of msn messenger that is compatible with winks

I have the same problem... I downloaded the flash player, installed it (the browser, the instraller found was FireFox) and the winks still don't work. My friend has the same version of MSN, and the winks work for him... I've been bustin my head for days

morfius it is not the winks playing on whoever i am talking to's machine, the winks in messenger that are installed with it wont play on my machine!

still havnt got it to work, just learned to live without them! It is a problem to do with firefox i reckon!
