Sims 2 Won't Build

I installed the game and the graphics and everything work fine, but when I click on the wall icon and click and drag to build nothing happens. Please if I'm doing it wrong tell me the right way and if possible som screenshots won't hurt. :tazz:

Build mode not working can be caused by the main exe file becoming corrupt or the use of unofficial mods, unofficial patches and cracks.

Best bet is to uninstall and reinstall the original game.
