Gonna need a tad bit more information. Have you made any rescent changes to your system hardware....(IE added a new hard drive, new CD drive, floppy drive?) Have you scanned it for viruses and spyware? and does the entire system seem to be running slowly as well, or is just when you open My Computer?

I just completed a scan on AGV and it detected a virus called Jave/ByteVerify...thanks

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .
That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

May ure windows need new installation due to some virus or may be existing one are quite corupt
