Hello,

I am having a problem checking my gmail account while useing firefox 1.5 and 1.0.7. The page will say " loading" , but that is all it does. I get a done message in the bottom bar of the browser however , it is not :tazz: .
This problem just started 2 days ago. I first noticed it from work ( broadband, xp sp2, firefox is default browser)
then I checked from home (dial-up , xp sp2, ie default browser).
I believe it is a secure site issue , some setting somewhere, I don't understand why it would happen suddenly on two different pc's. I think maybe something changed with the gmail site but have found no info as of yet. I was wondering if any of you have any ideas.

Thanks in advance....

i don`t use gmail however it is always possible that they are updating and are experiencing a problem when doing so. As you have mentioned there is now firefox V1.5, yesterday a new update came out for it. Try updating your browser and if this problem continues a week from now post back and let me know.
thanx

james i dont think the browsers version has anything to do with it. tech174 have you had any issues accsess any other secure sites, because that is how gmail works, it buts you in a secure conncetion and then kicks you out of it. so if you are having problems and you wherent before i think i whould like to do a temp dump.

Click start then control panel, click network and internet then internet options

On the general tab, click delete cookies, click delete files, include offline content, click clear history.

Click apply after each change.

Click the security tab and click default, click privacy and click default, click programmes and click reset web settings, click advanced to tick, do not save encrypted pages to disc and empty the temporary internet files folder when the browser is closed, click apply

Click start then run, type prefetch then press enter, click edit then select all, right click any file, click delete, confirm delete.

Click start then all programmes, accessories, system tools, to run disc clean up, reboot
