Getting to a web page via ms-dos prompt

I recently heard that you can get to a website that is denied by using the ms-dos prompt does anyone know how this is done . Or whats the facts please. Thanks Alot :) :tazz:

Where on earth did you read such a thing?

But anyway this sort of activity used to be possible back in the days of the Bulletin-Board System (BBS) as access to them used to be via a program than ran on the command prompt.

These days, while such systems still exist, they have mostly been replaced with the Internet as we know it today.

if you are denied access to a website....it's for a reason...contact the site's owner if you don't think you should be denied access..
