I recently got a printer from my dad, it's an HP Deskjet 640c. When I got it, it didn't come with the installation CD, so I downloaded the driver's from HP's site. Everything works fine with the printer. My problem arises when I start up my laptop; it takes AGES to startup, and then I get a "New Hardware Added" balloon, and an installation starts, it says "copying files" but as soon as it starts, a message pops up saying the file 'hpzcon04.dll' could not be found, and to insert the installation cd (I DON'T HAVE IT!).

Any Ideas?!

I would uninstall the drivers (control panel > add remove program), download and install again from HP site. Follow carefully the instructions. Sometimes there are software components that must be installed and you will be urged to do that. Also, let HP check for latest drivers.
