Hi,

I have a problem with telnet connection.

To work on unix environment , I used to go cyberspace .org and click on the Telnet in link where it takes me to telnet window and asking username and password.

Currenlty when I click on the telnetIn link , the Telnet window just flashes goes of...

FYI : I have windows XP Home edition

when I run telnet command from 'Run' it opens the Telnet window with prompt as 'Micorosft Telnet>'.

How can I resolve this problem, so that I can work on unix environment.

Please help me in resolving this problem

Thank you very much

do you have any popup blockers on? or anything like that?

do you know the ip address of the server you're telnetting into?
after doing start > run > telnet you would type open <ip address of the server> to initiate the telnet sessioni from the command prompt

Conecting to cyberspace.org.....Could not open connection to the host on port 23
No connection could be made because target machine actively refused it

triedalot,

I see you are still in the process of getting cleaned in the malware forum

One of the things that could be causing this is a crapped up IP stack.

Please finish the process of malware removal, then if the problem persists we will try more here
