I recently removed about;blank from my Win 2000 Pro laptop using procedures posted on Geek website, including using Hijack this.

After shut down, on restart, it took several tries of turning the laptop on and off before booting would happen. The screen would be completely blacked out.

Did something get erased?

My Hijack file:

I posted here because of the booting problems. The log is to see if something I did caused the booting problems. I thought this forum would be more appropriate. If not I will post elsewhere.

Thank you.

I have scanned for spyware and viruses. All okay.

I thought someone in this forum could help me read config.sys to see if something was altered during the cleansing.

Please do not post hijack this log in this forum unless asked to.

Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

I am closing this topic. Please open a new topic in the malware section as Burton has requested after following the above instructions. Good luck. :tazz:
