Gidday all.

I'm new at this so if this has been addressed already - please forgive me.

I am trying to get an Apache Tomcat application to use LDAP to authenticate users through Active Directory on a W2K3 server. Now I can get it to authenticate the user itself, what I need help with is getting the roles of the user. If I could remember the syntax I used, I would include it here - but we used so many different strings and variations that I can't remember which one we ended up with. I think the roles are referring to groups in the AD.

Has anyone else had much success in using LDAP to call an AD server to authenticate users for Apache Tomcat? This is so new to me that I feel like I'm sinking fast - so any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also if any more info is needed, I can try to include it here.

Thanks heaps in advance.
