Hello everyone,

As stated below, I run the Asus vanilla 6600 video card. I just updated my video card drivers from the 71.84 to the 81.98. The were running fine for a while, but now I notice that occasionally my computer freezes on startup (while it tries to start the background programs). I think it could be the driver, but it may be something else. Before I go back to the 71.84, I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on which driver would be the best for my card? I play lots of games.

well, recently i heard that a lot of people are rolling back drivers. I guess go back to the old ones if the new ones are iffy.

They usually reccomend the ones that initially came with the card or the next couple after that(only exceptions are very very new cards that dont have the drivers fully finished).
