hi i have a Patriot C3 1.2 ghz laptop and when you push the power button the light comes on but its the sleep light and wont boot any ideas. thanks

got it off a friend last year not sure how old it is an teres no warranty

definetly the answer i expected....but not the one i hped for....this could be caused by just about anything...and being a laptop...will be VERY hard to trouble shoot...give me a little bit to think

My first thought is that there is an open circuit.....something disconected inside the laptop.
