mpeg playback problems after formatting hard drive

I hope somone can help as this is driving me mad
I recently formatted my hardrive a re-installed everything from scratch.

When i play back a mpeg video file, the video stops after about 4 secs...the slidy bar thing at the bottom continues...the video then comes back for a bit and then stops again

This happens in media player 10, real player and Itunes!!!

This happens for locally stored file...so is not a bandwidth issue

The video card is a geforce mx 440 and i have downloaded the latest drivers

playing with hardware acceleration also has no impact

Somebody please help!!! :tazz:

what video card do you have?

update your gart driver (if you are using agp on your system board and not pci-express)

update your video card drivers to the latest verion
