I have had numerous problems and have now done everything that was said to do before Posting my HiJackThis log. While doing the list of things to do before I found that i am unable to start up in safe mode. When I start up and choose safe mode and it asks for the system and I "enter" it then goes to a screan that is full of lines from top to bottom like this: "Mult(0)disk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS\compbatt.sys"
My ex-husband works with IBM and is VERY computer savvy. Sometimes I feel that he is monitoring my keystrokes and can access things on my computer. He had remote access at one point to our old computer but I bought a new one and thought that woudl solve the problem. I kept the same router - I have a Linksys router and they found some really odd things when I moved and set up my Wireless service. I notice when i am online this white showdow of a window that goes quickly across the bottom of the start bar. Right now I have a window popping up over and over that says "Symantec - Norton AntiVirus was unable to start the Instant Messager scanner. It will be unable to scan Instant Messager downloads fro infections. Click here to go to Symantec Technical Support Knowledge Base"
