Hi,

I had windows installed in D drive (NTFS). The window malfunctioned and got unable to boot due to a hardware issue. I have now windows installed in C drive (FAT32). There is an important data in D drive and C aswell so I didn't format any drive.

Now i want to retrieve my files from old windows (D:\Documents and Settings\<My Documents and Settings>.) When I try to go into that folder a warning msg is displayed that its not accessable ... access is denied. I guess due to secururity reasons the folder is locked or something.

Is there any way around so I could get my data from old windows?

(p.s. I have sata drive)

Thanks in advance
