That program is great - It shows you all the errors its found, then tells you that you need to buy it to fix them.

Waste of time lol

Tune-up does the same job but it has trial period during which it is totally operational

haha. precisely. unfortunately I haven't found any free registry cleaners that I'd trust as much as registry mechanic, well I trust them, but I always review what they've found and sometimes its a pain when there's lots. However, you can just use ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/

There's another registry cleaner I've tried, its found lots of stuff and I've removed most of them without negative consequences. I've forgotten the name though, it should come to me if I google.

edit: there it is. regseeker http://www.snapfiles.../regseeker.html great program indeed, but as always, use caution and exercise judgement when running registry cleaner programs.

None of them are safe messing with the registry is a dangerus thing, tune up is probably the best, you really only get what you pay for. The free ones like CCleaner are good but they are all risky.

Astalavista.com is a site whose main use is the proliferation of p2p methods which we dont support here, the reason they have security tools is to help P2P users stay safe.
