ok the other day i opned a link called "vcodec" or something and now every 5 seconds my computer keeps telling me i have a virus and spaywear and stuff and its very annoying and i keep getting pop-ups ive tried adaware SE and spybot but its still happening anyone know how to help? and if not everytime i try 2 defrag my computer it says "setup.HIV file missing" how can i fix that??
oh and i need something free cause i cant afford 2 pay stuff to get ride of the virus is there anything free?

Hi im_secks_e, welcome to Geeks To Go Forums.

You are infected with malware.

So please read this: Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log (Click on the link)

That will give you steps that will help you clean up 70% of the problems yourself. Then please download "Hijackthis" and run Hijackthis with log. Save the log file here: Malware Removal - HiJackThis Logs Go Here

When you have followed all these steps. A Geeks To Go Staff Member will help you fix your problem.

(Note: Please be patient, the "Malware Forum" is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual.)
