I had to reformat my computer (Windows XP). Whenever I try to use anything involving sound, it says my sound card is in use. In device manager, "other devices" has a yellow exclaimation point with a yellow question mark. Under other devices, Multimedia Audio Controller, SM Bus Controller, and USB Controller all have the yellow exclaimation point.

Hello,

In device manager, "other devices" has a yellow exclaimation point with a yellow question mark. Under other devices, Multimedia Audio Controller, SM Bus Controller, and USB Controller all have the yellow exclaimation point.

Whenever you see this, it means that the drivers for the components listed are not installed. You need to visit the manufacture's website and download the correct XP drivers for your devices. After installing the drivers, your problems should be fixed.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
