On my mom's computer we recently installed Windows 2000. At the beginning we didn't need to login with a username and password, we could just click cancel, and it would go to the desktop. After adding new updates and such, it asked to restart the computer. It then came back to the username and password prompt box, but you could no longer get passed this, as you couldn't click on cancel. I think we may have typed a password in there once, but now we can't remember it? And don't know how to retrieve it or get passed this in some way, so we no longer need to use a username and password prompt. Can someone please help?!!!
