There don't appear to be any issues on the website.
The process of copying is exactly the same as I did before when it worked!
Maybe I'll have to get the original installation disc from work? Won't be before 24th though!
Speaking positively, my computer is much more efficient now than it was before, so thanks for that!

You could e-mail the other one to say you have problems running it

got this reply from the programme producers. It confirms your thoughts! But I still don't understand how I managed to copy the programme from my laptop to CD once and it worked but the second time it didn't. Ah well never mind! Thanks again for all your help!

The most important thing is that you actually reinstall the QuickSearch
software from the installation CD rather than just copying the files or
folders back into the QuickSearch folder in C:\Program Files\family
interest. The proper installation includes common system-related programs,
such as COMCTL32.OCX, which Windows installs to a different folder - and
this can depend on the version of Windows, but is usually either
C:\Windows\System32, or C:\Windows\System.
You should still have the original installation CD somewhere. If so, use
Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs to uninstall
QuickSearch, then use the QuickSearch installation CD to reinstall
QuickSearch. It should be OK then.
