I am having problems with the cd rom on this computer. I can burn cd's but it will not read cd's. Can someone, please assist me now?! I am not familiar enough with the tecki side of computers to be able to figure this out. I have looked everywhere I know to. Hi Liz,

That's an odd one you have there. I would think that if you can toast CD's on a
device it would need to be able to read them too. Otherwise it's toasting blind.
Are you perhaps trying to play audio-CD's ? If you are, an external CD-toaster
doesn't have those little wires that go directly from your CD-device to your
soundcard. And which enable it to play audio-cd's without 'reading' them into the
computer.
But if that's the problem you should still be able to run programs from CD-rom and
to view files on CD-rom.

Anyway, it all sounds a bit odd.

No sorry, I will not message you. I always shoot the messenger . I hate those
things. They're like pushy emailclients... but that's my personal problem, won't
bother you with that. :tazz:

Just a question to clarify your problem

are you unable to read any CD of any type in your machine?

Are you only having problems reading the cd's that youve burned?

Is it all types of files that dont read/work, or only iso images?
