checksum error on fresh xp home install

Ok so im trying to install xp home on a Dell Dimensions 9100
it goes through the install just fine and the computer reboots, then it starts to load xp and when it gets done were it would normally go to the user screen it goes blue and gives me this stop message

STOP: c000221 {Bad Image Checksum}
The image rpcrt4.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum.

iv reinstalled windows about 4 times now with no luck

any suggestions??

bad RAM is a possibility with checksum errors.
