You can try here:
http://www.geekstogo...pherals-f9.html

Maybe the hardware gurus have an answer for you.

I am convinced there is no malware on your computer.
If you start a thread there, please give them a link to this thread, so they can see what we already tried.

What happens exactly if you try to remove it using Add/Remove Software?

It may help to shut down the tasks from the Control center first.

When i try to remove it with add remove programs the window goes unresponsive for ever.

Also is there any way i can just reformat my C drive without the windows xp CD( i misplaced it) and then somehow reinstall windows xp to the c drive from my h drive? Basically i want to get rid of everything on the c drive and start fresh because i cannot fix this problem and i can't install any new programs or anything some being vital. I think the problem is on my c drive in other words not my h drive.

Ps. Last minute thought maybe i should unplug and put back in the chord to my c drive.

Thanks :whistling:

That should be possible, but you would be better off asking that question on the OS forum:

http://www.geekstogo...2003_NT-f5.html

Post a link to this thread:
http://www.geekstogo...howtopic=128873
when you start a new one there, so they can see what we already tried.
