After the wonderful help i had fixing my friends puter with a serious virus
I now come to you with what i hope is a fairly easy problem.
Maybe easy...but it sending me up the wall.
I have read other similar posts but mine seems a little different again.

Ok.. i have a headset with microphone in one. It has two plugs-black and grey

I normally hear things through the speakers attatched to the side of my hp pavilion m703 monitor
They have one hole on the side with a microphone symbol on it.

On my hard drive at the FRONT next to my usb port i have two holes with a microphone symbol on one and a headset on the other

At the BACK i have the usual three holes..green with the speakers plugged in and blue and pin

There is ALSO 2 cords just hanging out there -one with AUX on it and one MIC one

PLEASE can someone help me set this up...i seem to be able to HEAR people but no way can they hear me ie the mic isnt working.

I guess my computer itself needs to be set up in the audio panel too??

But WHAT do i know rotfl.

Thanks for any light on this subject

Hi. Double click on that little speaker icon at the bottom-right of your screen. When the window appears, do you see anything about the microphone on it? It should have its own slider. Make sure that it's not muted. Let us know how it goes.
