Bill went out to buy some golf equipment.
He spent half of what he had plus $5. at the first store.
He spent half of what was left plus $4. at the second store.
At the third store he spent half of the remainder plus $3.
He then had $5. left to buy golf balls.
How much money did he start with?

He started with $90.
($5 + $3) x 2 = $16
($16 + $4) x 2 = $40
($40 + $5) x 2 = $90.
What kind of room has no doors or windows or walls?

The roof of a barn is at a point. Both sides of the roof are on a 45 degree incline. A rooster is sitting on the very top of the roof. There is a road running to the left of the barn. Assume that there is no wind. If it lays an egg where it is sitting... which way will the egg fall?

This is a true story from Taiwan.
A rich man's son was kidnapped. A ramsom note told him to bring a valuable diamond to a phone booth in the middle of a public park. Plain clothes police surrounded the park, intending to follow the criminal or his messenger. The rich man arrived at the phone booth and followed instructions and the police were powerless to stop the diamond leaving the park and reaching the crafty villain.
What did he do?

I think I've heard this one before! Was it not a messenger pigeon or owl or something like that... a bird of some sort?
