Too Dark

I just uploaded some videos to my computer and they are almost completely dark. I can see certain things, but I would like to make it lighter. I can't download Windows Movie Maker because I don't think my version is genuine. I don't know what other programs I can use.

Can anyone help?

You will need to open my documents, click help, click is this copy legal and follow the prompts
