Ok, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum or not, but I couldn;t really find the correct one to put my question in, so here goes..

Whenever I try to go into www.gmail.com, over the past couple of days, it won't let me for some reason. I type the URL into the address bar, and it makes that sort of clickign noise your computer makes when you're about to view a website. But then the progress bar at the bottom of the screen reloads and flashes, and the computer makes the noise again. It keeps doing this and doing this until I stop it, by closing the window or heading back to my home page/another website.

It does it quite quickly, and every time the progress bar relaods and it makes the clicking noise - the URL changes, and it's just a big mush of characters that make no sense (but the beginning of the url is still gmail.com)

I am wondering if it has something to do with my wireless connection - as my connection isn't brilliant, and every ten minutes or so I have to reconnect it, as it cuts off.

Gmail seems to be working fine for everyone else, and I've never had this problem with a website before. I desperately need to get in to my inbox, so PLEASE help!

thank you

your wireless setup wouldn't modify the URL in the address bar...or at least i don't see how it could/would/should....try https://mail.google.com/ does that address work?

also you may want to get yourself checked out with the malware guys just to be sure

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty (and you may not be) then post a hijackthis log in THE MALWARE FORUM forum.
(Posting HiJack This logs in any other forum other than the malware forum is forbidden. If you post an HJT log in any other forum, it will be removed and it will take you longer to get help, so please make sure you only post HJT logs in the malware forum)

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
