There is no malware in your log. I need to actually see what is going on.
The next time it occurs, please hold down Alt and press the Print Screen (or Prt SC) button. Open Notepad and paste the image (Crtl+V) save it as an image file and post it in your next reply.

If you need it, here is a tutorial on how to take a screenshot.

Hi,
Are you talking about the bar at the bottom? Does this only happen in firefox? Could you tell me what was wrong with it at the time of the screenshot, or what happens in detail?

OK here we go again.

The problem it´s the bar at the bottom. Well to honest with you I dont use explorer almost at all, but the few times I´ve used it, I never noticed anything wrong. The thing what happens with that bar is that when typing, usually as soon as I open the browser, but not everytime, then whatever I wanna type in goes to that bar´s field, and it is a really stubborn one, coz it wont let me type anymore but in its field, and it doesnt work as a seach bar as it seems, it just stops me from typing in anything in the original bar I was supposed to type. It pops up for like 5 seconds, then after that it disappears, but as soon as I start to type again, it pops up right away. <br /> At the time of the screenshot nothing was wrong with it, it just pops up randomly without any particular reason, apart from the typing.
Thanks a lot Sarahw! :whistling:

Hi dtakehana,
Can you please uninstall firefox and google toolbar. Click Start, Control Panel, Add\Remove Programs. Find Mozilla Firefox in that list and then uninstall it by cliking uninstall and following the prompts. Do the same for Google Toolbar.
When you have done that, reinstall firefox by clicking here:

Congratulations your log is clean. :whistling:
As the problem is not malware related. If the problem with firefox continues, please start a topic in this forum: Web Browsers and Email
As we uninstalled Spybot - Search and Destroy as part of the fix. You can now reinstall it. There is a link below.

The following is a list of tools and utilities that I like to suggest to people. This list is full of great tools and utilities to help you understand how you got infected and how to keep from getting infected again.
  • Spybot Search & Destroy - Uber powerful tool which can search and annhilate nasties that make it onto your system. Now with an Immunize section that will help prevent future infections.
  • AdAware - Another very powerful tool which searches and kills nasties that infect your system. AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy compliment each other very well.
  • Grisoft AVG Anti Virus - If you don't have any antivirus software on your system, or if your subscription to definition updates has lapsed, we recommend AVG's very good free version of antivirus. This comprehensive package includes real-time protection, scheduled scans, automatic definition updates, and email scanning. More free antivirus tools here. DO NOT install more than one antivirus program. They will conflict, and provide less protection, not more. Uninstall any existing antivirus programs if you're going to install AVG.
  • SpywareGuard - Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.
  • IE-SpyAd - puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
  • ATF Cleaner - This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only. Cleans temporary files from IE and Windows, empties the recycle bin and more. Great tool to help speed up your computer and knock out those nasties that like to reside in the temp folders.
  • Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.
  • Windows Live Toolbar - Free customised Microsoft toolbar that allows you to use the powerful search engine from the bar, veiw your email inbox, blocks pop up windows, opens multiple internet pages in one winow, and tells you the weather of your local city.
To find out more information about how you got infected in the first place and some great guidelines to follow to prevent future infections you can read this article by Tony Klein
