Okay I'll try that. But my screen is jumping when I scroll down. Instead of moving smoothly, it jumps from one part of the page to another. What kind of problem would that be? Also, when looking at my device manager, my "Other Devices" has a question mark on it, more specifically SM Bus Controller and Video Controller (VGA Compatible). What's the problem there?

Also, thanks a lot for helping me with this. You really saved me because my sister would be pretty mad if I didn't save her stuff. I really do appreciate all the help you've given me. And I'm always coming to this site from now on for my computer problems.

If there is a question mark by a device, it needs a driver. Get the Chipset Utility for the chipset drivers.

Any other yellow ! or ? displayed?

Nope. Unless a ! next to the ones with ? means something.

It means either the drivers aren't installed or that the device has a problem or is disabled. After a fresh install, I'd bet on drivers.

See if this Dell Tool will help you find drivers...we can probably pull them off the old install, too.
