Yes, it may be a good idea to remove System mechanic if the user doesn't really know how to use it.
Reason is, you should always be careful when using such tools, only use it if you know what you are doing.
It's not the first time that a computer was damaged after using similar tools, because things got removed (registry keys etc) that were needed.

I think we are done here. Just update kaspersky and let it perform a full scan to get rid of the leftovers if still present.

You have Avira installed, so it should be able to delete the related files including the extra infected zipfiles it created in a "shared folder" you use for P2P programs.

As you will read, it also created some dummy files, for example regedit.com, cmd.com etc etc.. this to prevent running regedit, cmd, tasklist etc.. because when you enter regedit in start > run, it will load the regedit.com instead and you get an error. (when a com file is present, it will load the com file first instead of the exe).
Antivirus normally do not delete the com files this malware created, because they are "dummy files", so no signature for them can be added, so they won't flag them.

You can delete the com files manually if still present:

or use this removal tool (which will also delete other related leftovers if still present):

Next to the 'scriptfile to execute'-window you'll see a little icon as shown in next picture:
When you click that icon, a little window will open that says: 'Please enter the full URL to the sript you want to execute'
In the field, copy and paste next URL:

Click Ok.
Then click execute in Brute Force Uninstaller.

Extra note:
If nothing happens after pressing the Execute button, this means that the script didn't download. In that case, download the script
( alcanshorty.bfu ) manually from above url ( rightclick on it and choose 'save as' and save it in your BFU-folder). Then start BFU.exe again and click the browse button next to the 'scriptfile to execute'-window
Browse to the script you downloaded and Click Ok and Execute in Brute Force Uninstaller.

Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.
Press exit to terminate the BFU program

That should get rid of the leftovers.

Hello,

Just check and fix next entry in Hijackthis again, because I see it didn't get fixed:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click fix checked, and also make sure your Windows Defender doesn't interfere here, because Windows Defender also watches certain entries in the registry and when you try to fix it, it will see this as a "hijack attempt" and replace it back again.

Can you also test what happens if you go to start > run and type regedit? Let me know if that opens your Registry editor.
