Hi, I'm new around here and can't seem to start a new topic nor search existing ones. Is there an activation email or something that has to be done to allow me to use these features?

Seeing as you've already posted here, you obviously have permissions to post - and thus you should be able to post new topics and search existing ones.
I'll alert a Mod or Admin to your case, and see if there's any problems preventing your permissions.
Cheers, and hold on - we'll get to you shortly.

You might have tried to create a topic right here at Site Orientation and FAQ. I can't either and I guess that's the way it should beHi, I'm new around here and can't seem to start a new topic nor search existing ones. Try going to some other section like, Windows Vista(the first one I tried) and press New Topic.

I was trying to create a topic in the "Security - Malware Removal Guides and Tutorials".
Looking at it now it would have been more appropriate to create one in the hijackthis logfile forum. But the problem appears to be fixed.
Thanks anyway

I cannot find the list of topics I have subscribed to. I looked under all of the options under "My Content". I used to be able to find these no problem. TYIA

No that is not what I am looking for. When I read a topic and subscribe to it I cannot find where I can view the topics again. I have used that feature in the past and found it useful.

To view topics you are subscribed to, go to My Settings >> Forums tab >> and click on Manage Watched Topics
Is this the topic you are referring to:
http://www.geekstogo...86#entry1850886
If not, what was the topic about?

At the top of this page click on My Profile
Then in new window click on the tab named TOPICS
That should then give you a list of all the topics you have started starting with the newest one
