Just looked it up(M50), that is a nice looking bike, tear drop airbox is cool. My next one will probably be a cruiser also. Maybe the Yamaha Roadstar or V Star. Which ever one has the Midnight edition.

Yea, I wanted something to sit and relax. Im a big guy and it fits nice. The limited came with clear lenses and the silver / silver tribal paintjob. I wanted a cruiser but I didnt want a rear fender that went all the way down and swooped out like most. The M50 has the bobtail on it so it keeps it more muscle style than cruiser.

wasn't trying to start a fight...or claim that i'm a traffic saint...just pointing out the inherant missuse of logic in the statement that you were driving 120 in a 75 then claiming that the cops should finid something better to do with their time than hastle someone who's "not breaking the law....too much"...whether the cop's a jerk or not...IF you were actually going over the speedlimit (yes 5 over is still legally over and if they want to be a jerk and give you a ticket...it is within the bounds of the law to do so...it's just not cool) then they have the right to ticket you...quota's or not..

not a big fan of most "cruisers" i prefer crotchrockets or EXTREMELY custom non crotchrocket motorcycles (not "custom accessorized" or "customly assembled from parts off the shelf)...i'm a HUGE fan of all ducatis especially the 1098 or the Monster

for non crotch rocket i like anything Exile Cycles makes (plus russel mitchel is a nutjob) or anything made by Zero Engineering...any bike made with part taken from a scrap heap can't be bad right?

This bike? Nah, you couldn't like this bike? Actually it is a favorite of mine also...I didn't think you were starting a fight, I just don't see the logic of such a reaction of a quick blast to 120mph.

You dang kids and your crothchrockets. The small seat, the leaning, the bent wrists, the legs back, bah. I like sitting on a bike like I sit on the toilet, relaxed, shoulders back enjoying myself.

I like sitting on a bike like I sit on the toilet, relaxed, shoulders back enjoying myself, and reading the sports section.

Fixed to add the "new york rider" clause :whistling:

Then it would be more like, driving down the center lane, swerving so no one can pass, coffee in one hand, finger in the air with the other, screaming profanities at people driving by, while holding down the horn.

I've driven in Florida. 120mph may be required just to maintain pace with traffic flow. They're nuts. 90+ mph seems to be the average Interstate speed.

Back on topic, those fines are insane.

Admin is right, I drove to Fort Myers over the weekend and I had to go 90 to stay with the flow of traffic. I don't know why, but it seems that the urgency to get where you are going these days has increased. Who is talking about socialism here? dsenette, did you create that avatar? That is the craziest one I've seen...

I am from Virginia and I agree with most of the new law, this part I dont really like

Anyone unlucky enough to have 8 points or more on his license (reckless driving is good for 6 by itself) would pay an additional $100, plus $75 for any points over 8, up to $700 a year.

you can easly get 8 points with out any DUIs, DWIs, etc... for example if your going 76 in a 55 (witch is not that uncommon) theres 6 points right there and you can pick up another 2 with a simple 41 in a 35 zone. To me thats just doesnt seem right to get hit with a civil remedial fee. I know the law targets chronic offenders but man lets not get too carried away, the example I listed is something I do on a daily basis and I am sure many many others do as well. Hopefully if I get pulled over the cop will be a little more understanding since I don't have any crazy stuff on my record.
