Actually I guess you could also add overestimate to the list, not just a correct estimate...

And the United States overestimated George Bush :)

Abydos: Sorry for not having addressed this in my last reply but, the punctuation always goes inside of the end quote in English

The following was seen at Beijing International Airport (sari, you might want to go get some Tylenol before you scroll down):

Equipment failure, Suspend being put into use.

FAIL

I even took a picture. I'll upload it later.

Okay, I have to add a test - quiz? - that our 5th grade teacher asked us to complete. The test is to properly identify the correct punctuation and to write out the sentence with the correct punctuation:

that that is is that that thats it

So, let's see who is the quickest among our G2G folks!

That that is, is that, that that's it.

It makes sense in my head.

...one from the news sometime last week, concerning that recent storm that hung around the East Coast for several days and made quite a mess from New Jersey to the Carolinas...a reporter said, and I quote:

...'North Carolina has beared the brunt of this storm...' :) :) :)

...this guy is a PROFESSIONAL JOURNALIST? And he doesn't know that there is no such word as 'beared' (it should be 'borne')??... :)

...this kind of stuff never ceases to amaze me...

I should think it would go like this:

"North Carolina bore the brunt of this storm..."

Although beared is a word, it's when a bear eats you up, right? :)
