can someone please tell me how to access the internet while having this trojan? I'm on another computer right now downstairs. I can't get IE to come up using Task Manager


edit: i rebooted after i deleted it and when i restarted it was still there (the system key) so im tryin again now

i didnt have that problem you seem to have. Not sure whats messing explorer up for you.

ah well, the system key is gone and I still have the Blue screen with the trojan and other stuff and the only thing I can get to come up is regedit which isnt helping me so I guess I'm gonna format :tazz: and lose all my files if I cant get anything to come up in the next few minutes of messing with it

i'd wait up for someone more experienced than me to look.
definate dont think the virus i talk of would need format.
i cant say for sure though.

have you deleted wp.bmp and wp.exe from c:\ ?

along with iguard and any free pharmacy or free anything programs (from you add/remove control panel).

after doing them i would check folders for anything like the names found in my scans above.

also look for netmaid (think thats correct term)

thread called trojan sp may help too.

ok, i deleted that .wmp.bmp file now. Now i get a ALL Black screen to come up. I still can't get any programs to come up cept regedit. SAy i try to open Internet Explorer, it will show up in the Task Manager for 1 sec and then dissappear. So i must be screwed.

i got the black screen after that too.
if your registry files are still comming back then take the steps i did in earlier post where i changed values to 0.
that gave me the extra option on the desktop properties.
when i later deleted the whole folder i then got the browse bit in the desktop tab working.

i also have system restore off (if that makes difference)

have you tried opening a html file on ur comp and seeing if that gets and open browser

Well, i'm messing around with Safe Mode now and I'm backing up the stuff I need on my iPod and if I can't get it too work I'll just format. My computer needs to be cleaned anyways so that's fine with me. I'll wait a little bit though and see if anyone can help.

after a norton scan i got these at risk files

The file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Hyperbar\HyperbarSS3.dll is a Adware threat.
The compressed file Hyperbar.dll within ?????? within C:\WINDOWS\Installer\44b5d.msi is a Adware threat.
The compressed file HyperbarSS3.dll within ?????? within C:\WINDOWS\Installer\44b5d.msi is a Adware threat.

deleted all of these.

adaware found nothing


going to reboot. run hijack this, log and print it here.

If your not the original poster of this topic, Please refrain from giving any advise or Testing what may or may not work for removing this issue,

It's best to start your own topic working with more than one person is confusing for the person helping you and the person receiving help, And trust me just by reading this topic to this point I m totally confused,

Luke, You said you have made some changes with HJT, What I need you to do so I can be sure you didn't remove something needed,
Is to open HJT, click None of the above just start the program, Click Config, click Back ups, Highlight them and restore everything you have fixed to this point please,

Then post back a fresh HJT log here please

reboot into safe
deleted following

Looks goods. I know you fixed a couple of those entries but just wanted to be sure you didn't remove anything you needed,

How is the computer running now ??

It looks like your missing most of the silent runners log could you run it again and post back please,
