So this isn't a big problem, but an annoying one!
Every time I reboot my laptop, the touch pad settings (technically the mouse settings found in the control panel) reset to the defaults, most notable the cursor speed. What could cause this to revert to the default after a reboot? The settings are saved after the laptop is put in standby mode or hibernation, just not when there is a complete power down.

Any ideas?

Thanks

If you are using Setpoint or Logitech mouse, this may help:

To avoid the resetting problem, you need to uninstall Setpoint and go to the
Startup memu typing "msconfig" after hitting run on the start memu. Even
after uninstalling Setpoint, it still remains in the startup menu. You need
to uncheck them so they don't automatically load on reboot. Once you do
this, your problem should be resolved. I also bought a new mouse..

This doesn't really resolve the problem, if you need the Setpoint software. Any solutions other than that?
