I would have posted this in the media center area but it seems no one is reading/responding to the questions over there. Please help me.
(oh, and I got stuck with Vista - long story)

My system:

XPS 410 Vista Home Premium 32bit, Intel Core 2 cpu 6700 @2.66GHz, Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS, 250 GB HD, 1 GB Ram. Never could find the name of my tv tuner card but I have one.

I keep getting the following error: "Partial recording. Recording of manual Stargate Atlantis began late on 11-2-07 at 21:58:01 due to a temporary failure caused by either a system malfunction or a power loss and was stopped to due a lack of audio/video data. Another recording attempt will be made."

I have Direct TV with a set top box in 2 bedrooms and one in the living room. I did not have a power surge or outage last night, the TV in the other two rooms did not have any problems. While Stargate Atlantis was recording I decided to watch a recording of another program. The wires are secure. The computer is about 2 1/2 months old and has up to date drivers.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is it a bug in Vista? Thanks for any/all help.
