Hope someone can help me out here..and im almost certain its not the OS, but it could be..

I have the ability to connect 4 SATA devices to my computer, however it will only recognize 2, SATA 0 and 1. I have 2 HDs and a DVD-RW drive, all 3 are SATA, but i can only use two...Is it the board itself or something the OS is blocking?

Does the BIOS see all the devices? Some boards its possible to turn a block of two SATA ports off in the BIOS.

Normally an option is available somewhere else in the BIOS to toggle SATA 2 and 3. It often hides under the Integrated Peripherals section.
