Well what I'm saying is that there are certain types of RAM that only work with certain machines. eMachines systems are very picky about the RAM that you put in them. You have to make sure the RAM is guaranteed to work in the systems. Even then, the RAM may not work in the system. This is all from my experience with eMachines computers.

Yes, I believe the link I provided to you has the RAM you are looking for. I've had very good luck with MemoryTen and would recommend them to you in this situation, since compatible eMachines RAM is hard to find outside of eMachines itself. I'll put it this way and say that it's likely your best bet. If you look at the linked page, it is specifically dealing with RAM for your make/model PC.

Hey, I'm back, lol... Ihave been putting this off as I had bought a Vista Laptop, lol... This weekend I will be buying the RAM from the website you provided a couple replies back. i am goign to try upgrading the eMachines computer for a famil computer, lol... Since the kids in our household are all in highschool they do more assignment sonline than on paper, so I thought i'd just upgrade it to its full potential. lol..

i added 2 GB of RAM, and it still goes slow. what else could I do. it does recognisze the ram..
