I am getting the following error msg while working in Internet Explorer

Critical System Error

Your computer was infected by Trojan.win32.obfuscated.gx(porn adware)
Its dangerous for your system(critical files can be lost)! Click OK to download antispyware program to clean your system! (recommended)

I have tried all different anti viruses including from the link that I wrote above, and they all ask u to pay. Should I pay or is there another way? I also tried the FixIEDEF recommended on this forum. It still didnt work. I feel like crying. Can anyone help please please please, it's taking alot of my time from my 4 year old daughter

Go over to the Malware Removal forum, read the Sticky Threads and follow the steps there

Somebody will help fix your PC once you have done that.

Impressive geeks! I read one of the original (very long) postings with instructions for cleaning out this nasty porn malware and was jumping for joy when I searched and found this automated script. I had already eradicated the defender memory and this found/removed the rest :) So glad I kept digging cause there are some folks out there that are givin up and reformatting....probably unnecessarily. You....guys....are....awesome! Cheers and many thanks.

Thanks a bunch Rorschach,

I've actually already created a new Topic regarding my particular fight with this virus which details the steps I've taken so far at geeks request. I think I exhausted most options but obviously only you and your great crew can tell me that. Topic reads....

"Can't fully remove popup virus "Trojan.win 32.obfuscated.gx&q" posted on the 7th. Complete with Highjack reports and other info. Cheers. can't wait to tackle it with your guidance!

Had tried AVG, spybot S&D and more and none had worked.

Couldnt believe it was so quick and easy in the end.

Please help me! i have random pop ups come up when using internet explorer, i can only use fire fox to get on the internet. random pop ups show up that are just advertisement, this happens most often when watching a video like on youtube.

i have done all the starting steps shown in your starting guide and everything worked but the problem still remains.

It says not to post a log until i get permission. So can you help me? :)
