Course I hope you all realize none of the speed is entirely accurate considering all of the sites you visit may be halfway around the world . Speed is affected by thus. Choose the closest server to you will always show the best speed but for actual download speeds "ymmv". In the US for general public Chicago, Atlanta, and Texas are generally some of the fastest.
Also try http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
For a more accurate reading, try testing a london server .
